Welcome to my ZOOM page,
created especially for you who wish to relive your
childhood memories including watching the popular PBS Emmy-award winning TV show
which asked you to share your ideas & "send it to ZOOM, BOX
3-5-0, Boston, Mass. 0-2-1-3-4."
"I
just thought about you and how I remembered you on ZOOM. You were
the star to me! I still remember you clearly. I'm glad that
you're pursuing music.....I'm glad that I can even send you a
message. This is cool!:)" P.M, Chicago
"I
just found your page and it takes me back. As a child of the
70's, I certainly remember you on the show....When I heard the program
was coming back on the air, I wrote WGBH and strongly suggested they
retain the striped "rugby shirts" in the new program, but they never
replied. I remember begging my mother for a shirt like that in
'74 or '75 (one of the few items of clothing I ever wanted) when we saw
one in the store, and I considered it my 'ZOOM shirt". Thanks for
your page, it was fun to see the "real" ZOOM logo again. I'm now
off to search for a copy of the old theme music" C.S., Utah
"Wow, I have at long last found the elusive
Bernadette Yao.....I can hardly believe it! I have fond memories of
myself and the other neighborhood kids running home on Sundays at 6pm
to watch "Zoom", to be enchanted by the Chinese girl with the magic
arms and the sweet twinkle in her eye! I am a Chinese girl myself born
and raised in Honolulu. Isn't the Internet the most valuable and
wonderful way to connect us to those from our past who have been so
dear to our childhood and memories!.... I would love to hear from you
and will post again. I feel as though I have found a long lost
friend..." Melissa K.
"Hey Bernadette, I just saw you on the VH1 thing for 1973 and I
definately know how to do the arm thang you did (who doesnt). It's
funny all the members of my band were doing it in rehearsal the other
night for fun...You and all the other zoomers are definately a part of
every kid's history. Not a bad legacy at all.." Paul S.
"This is a little embarassing to admit, but when I was a 7 year old boy
I had a huge crush on you. I thought you were the most beautiful girl
in the world." - Steven A.
