I composed and produced Solace to create space to process complicated feelings of sadness, anger, and grief. When listening to this piece, find a quiet space where you feel safe to close your eyes, take a deep breath, drawing your breath all the way down towards your elbows, holding the breath, then slow exhale through pursed lips. Allow the music to move you, noticing what comes up in your heart. Shift your energetic focus from fear to love. Come into your center and feel your heart expand.
To deepen your sound/music healing practice while listening to Solace:
-
Somatic Movement: Gently rocking or swaying while seated can help the body "digest" the sadness or anger that the music stirs up.
-
Journaling: After the music ends, writing for five minutes without pausing can help capture those "expanded heart" insights.
-
Vocal Toning: Adding a soft hum to your exhale can further stimulate the vagus nerve, deepening the shift from fear to love.
